David Pinto is a Lisbon-based human rights activist. He has a bachelor in Economics but his activism work is focused on LGBTQ topics and online environments. He has founded the Portuguese queer collective “Bichas Cobardes” that works to educate the LGBTQ community and to fight hetero/cis-normativity; through this collective he has developed work has a columnist and a radio producer.
David is currently on the board of “rede ex aequo” a Portuguese queer youth organization, and involved in the Council of Europe’s No Hate Speech Movement both at national and European levels. Recently, David has co-founded “Game Over Hate” – an international initiative to tackle hate in gaming environments and to foster healthier, more inclusive online game communities.
